How Solar Light for Africa, Ltd. Began
Founded in 1997 for purposes of providing light to one orphanage in Hoima, Uganda.
Over 2550 installations in 7 countries: schools, villages, health clinics, orphanages, churches, and villages.
Annual Youth Mission program provides cross-cultural partnership each summer, impacting over 200 youth from the US and Africa since 1999.
Village electrification program providing light and electricity to more than 300 families since 2005.
Successful mission partnerships in Liberia and Tanzania promoting electrification and education.
Industrial-scale clean water provision at 3 large hospitals and 1 orphanage in Uganda, positively impacting the health of thousands in surrounding communities.
